The Orthodox PRINCES

The St. Gabriel's Orthodox PRINCES ( Praying, Revitalizing and Innovating Nobility and Courage to Empower and Serve) Organization, founded, by Fr. Melake Ganet Tesfa Eyesus, on August 1, 2014 was established as a safe haven for the young men of our Church.

We are blessed to have Haile Mariam Sheriff as an advisor; and our very own Arch Deacon Bee'de Mariam Jacobs and Deacon Wolde Yohanness Mighty as mentors.  The St. Gabriel's Orthodox PRINCESS ranges from the ages 8-35 years old; if older, we also have the St. Tekla Haymanot Brotherhood.

These ages are a valuable time in which one is exposed to many different beliefs and value systems, which may cause confusion and keep one away from the Church.  That is why the St. Gabriel's Orthodox PRINCES was established to educate and train young men in key areas of spiritual life; knowledge of God and worship, personal discipline and integrity, confidence building, self-worth and respect of others, community services, professional career development, social interaction, leadership skills, and family values.

Our Church has produced many saints and righteous men who have given themselves to God.  It is the job of the Church to prepare the young men to follow our Fathers who followed after Our Lord's footsteps even until death.  St. Gabriel's Orthodox PRINCES share these feelings and would like to cultivate model young men, who know and have firm faith in God; who practice their faith daily, who are educated and intelligent.

Also emphasizing confidence and the pursuit of higher learning; with the common touch and compassion to serve their fellow man; and who will be future leaders, not only in the Church but in the society.  Attributes such as these, helped to produce St. Athanasius, St. Cyril, and H.E. Abuna Yehesaq.  Through God's grace may we continue to produce Orthodox PRINCES of God.

May the blessing of the Prophet Isaiah who prophesied of Our Lord's birth, from the Virgin St. Mariam, be with us all.
